On the inauguration day, Mr. Morris Zou, chairman and president of Morris Holdings, Mr. Giovanni Cagnato, chief designer of MorriSofa, and Mr. Xu Yingwen, general manager of MorriSofa Shanghai all arrived to witness the grand opening of the flagship store. Friends from the media, business partners and potential customers were also presented at the historical moment. During the ceremony, Mr. Zou stated with extreme confidence: "On Morris Holdings’ anniversary of getting listed in Hong Kong, we will solidify our global business structure and further develop our retail networks in both domestic and foreign markets, to upgrade and lead the culture of international furniture fashion."

The grand opening of the Shanghai flagship store is a crucial strategic move of the brand's exploration in mainland market. In the near future, MorriSofa will keep expanding its retailing network in global, Hong Kong and domestic markets. Next year, more than 10 new stores are planned to open in tier-1 cities like Beijing and Shenzhen, as well as in capital cities of mid-west provinces. The pace of new store opening will even pick up in 2019.
